Why 96% RTP Is Not 96% of Your Budget Back
This is the most expensive misunderstanding in gambling. RTP is calculated on the total amount staked, not on the budget you start with. Worked example: you bring 500,000 and stake 5,000 a spin on a 96% RTP slot. Every win you re-stake adds to turnover. Once the budget has cycled a few times — say 2,500,000 of total turnover — the theoretical cost is already 4% × 2,500,000 = 100,000, a fifth of the budget.
